5 ways to stay positive during tough times

Well, what a whirlwind of a year its been. We feel so grateful to you all for your support of our stores through 2020. Christmas felt lovely and festive and its been amazing seeing the community spirit in our lovely town of Kendal.

Today we thought we would share a few ideas on staying positive through tough times. 

Try to be present

In these uncertain times the best thing we can is remain present, take it day by day and try to enjoy the little things

Stay connected with loved ones

Aren’t we lucky to have all this technology at our fingertips? Take the time to Facetime with a friend, send a quick text to show someone you are thinking of them. Maybe we can’t physically be there but we can still be there for people. 

Eat well – for healthy body and mind

Nourishing our body with good food makes a big difference to the way we think and feel. Cook more, learn a new recipe. Its an opportunity to get into good eating habits.

Get outside

One of the best ways to feel positive is to get outside, breathe in the fresh air and stretch your legs. It can work wonders.

Do things that you enjoy

Read, draw, sit and watch TV, don’t shower…its important that you do you through this difficult time. Do what you enjoy and don’t feel bad about it.

Boots is still hope during the current restrictions so if you do need any essentials we are here for you. We hope to see you again in the yard very soon.
