If you’ve been down to the Elephant Yard lately, you may have noticed the beautiful array of umbrellas we have on show above the main courtyard… This year we are a part of Kendal’s Summer Trails, and one of only a handful of areas in Kendal showing off the new umbrella displays!
The Kendal Summer Trails brings exciting trails, with something for everyone, celebrating everything that is Kendal, what it has to offer and it’s rich heritage. Ideal for the Summer holidays, the Children’s Summer Trails provide 4 seperate routes to hunt down all the umbrellas and even have Trail Treats to keep an eye out for and a list of picnic areas and family-friendly eateries to keep you going!
The Summer Trails isn’t just for children and families though, it’s also an excuse to get out and around Kendal, learning all about it’s history as you follow the History Trail. With your Trail map, you can discover all the information plaques and learn the unique history of Kendal, whilst also taking advantage of all the Trail Treats on offer around town.
The final Trail is the Boozy Beer & Wine Time Trail, definitely one for the adults – boasting all the pubs, bars and restaurants that Kendal has to offer! Discover modern wine bars, traditional pubs and find the perfect place to dine out whilst you take part in this Trail…
